82-year-old man found burnt in Valencia

RALPH BANWARIE GML Correspondent Valencia police have identified the man found burnt at Alexis Circular, Plantation Road, as James Le Carde. According to reports, PCs Rattansingh, Singh, and WPC Gonzales of the Valencia Police Post responded after receiving information about the incident. Upon arrival, they found the house ransacked and a trail of blood leading about 40 feet away to a large burnt area. Among the debris were wire remnants, burnt materials resembling tires and charcoal, and what appeared to be human skeletal remains. Senior officers arrived at the scene and confirmed the presence of the remains. District Medical Officer Dr. Cordice examined the skeletal remains and ordered their removal to the Sangre Grande Hospital mortuary, after which they are expected to be taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James for a post-mortem examination. Officers from the Homicide Bureau Region II also joined the investigation. Police have not determined a motive for the killing, and the Arouca Homicide Bureau Region II continues to investigate the case.
