GYASI MERRIQUE Senior Reporter Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League (TTPFL) campaigners San Juan Jabloteh have received a boost through platinum sponsorship from ANSA McAL Limited for the ongoing 2025/2026 season. The sponsorship was formally announced last Friday (March 13, 2026), and formally marked via a media release yesterday. The release stated that ANSA McAL is “committing resources to support Jabloteh’s long-standing work developing young athletes and creating meaningful opportunities for them both on and off the field.” ANSA McAL Group CEO, Anthony N. Sabga III, said: “We believe in the potential of every young person in this country. This sponsorship is about investing in young people who are working hard every day to build their futures. That matters to us, and it is very much part of what we mean when we talk about growth.” Sabga was speaking as members of the Jabloteh team visited the company’s head office on Maraval Road, Port of Spain, to be presented with the club’s ANSA McAL-branded jerseys and officially launch the collaboration, but beyond the field, the sponsorship opens doors for Jabloteh players within the ANSA McAL Group. Athletes will have access to professional training programmes and internships across the group’s network of companies, offering a pathway that extends well beyond the final whistle. San Jabloteh Sports Club Chairman Nirad Tewarie said: “We are grateful for ANSA McAL’s commitment to Jabloteh and to the young people we serve. With ANSA McAL coming in as lead sponsor, it allows us to continue doing what we do best: giving young people from our communities a platform to grow, compete, and build careers.” The partnership is expected to support Jabloteh’s continued efforts to offer young athletes the opportunity to play at no cost, removing economic barriers and ensuring that talent and dedication remain the only criteria for participation. Through this sponsorship, ANSA McAL directly supports over 130 youth in the club. Last year, more than 170 young people participated in football and netball programmes through Jabloteh free of charge, a powerful demonstration of what community investment can do for confidence, discipline, and opportunity.
