Body found at Tyrico Bay identified as businessman

Relatives of businessman Homardath Sookdeo confirmed his identity yesterday after his body was found in some bushes off Tyrico Bay on Sunday. Police reported that around 10 am, they received a report of a body lying motionless at Tyrico Beach with its hands and feet bound with rope and a dog chain. A bloodied sponge and brown tape were found near the body as well. Relatives visited the Forensic Science Centre yesterday, where Sookdeo was identified. Guardian Media contacted Sookdeo’s relatives; however, they chose not to comment. Police reported that Sookdeo was last seen on March 8 and reported missing at the Longdenville Police Post on that same date.
