Quashie, Seenath re-elected to lead ICATT

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago has appointed its Council for the 2026/27 term following its 56th Annual General Meeting, held virtually on March 26, 2026. Ninety-eight members voted electronically on resolutions, including the election of five members to the 12-member Council after five vacancies arose. Resolutions approved at the meeting included adoption of the 2025/26 Annual Report of Council, the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, and the reappointment of Aegis Business Solutions as auditors until the next AGM. At the first Council meeting following the AGM, President Marissa Quashie (Partner, Assurance Services, EY Trinidad and Tobago), was re-elected. Vice-President Arun Seenath (Partner, Taxation, Deloitte), also was re-elected. Quashie said she will work with Council, CEO Marsha Caballero and the Secretariat during the new term. Re-elected Council members are Director Desmond Dial, Assurance, PwC Trinidad and Tobago, and Managing Director Renée-Lisa Philip, PKF Limited. Newly elected members are Manager-in-Charge Shivanan Deopersad, Taxation Division, NGC Group, and Raquel Nalini Suratsingh. Retiring from Council is Managing Director Dinesh Bhola, DSB Financial Services, after nine years. The Council for 2026/27 comprises President Marissa Quashie, Vice-President Arun Seenath, Adrienne D’Arcy, Renée-Lisa Philip, Christopher Ramjit, Edmund Phillips, Haseeb Mohammed, Desmond Dial, Tanya Wright, Giles Leung, Shivanan Deopersad and Nalini Suratsingh.
